Teething
I saw something horrible
Something you’re not knowledgable of
And now my mind is growing
Result of basic knowing
And I don’t want it
I didn’t request it.
Bold new connections in my brain
New cells growing every day, driving me insane
The pain’s a little like teething
And everything I’m seeing,
Makes me wanna stop breathing.
Bold new connections in my brain
Can’t trace precisely when these other thoughts came
And this is just a suggestion
Depression may not be a flaw
You seem to think it’s essential
to smile all the time, well what for?
Oh I saw something terrible
Can’t quite describe it, I’m not able
And I can tell you’re confused
And maybe also amused
But it’s not funny
Oh it’s not funny.
The way you go about your daily ways
The way you follow everything your little friends say.
It’s a little like teething
And everything I’m seeing
Makes me wanna stop breathing
Bold new connections in my brain
And much as they make sense I wish they’d go away.
And this is just a suggestion
Depression may not be a flaw
You think that it’s normal
to smile all the time, well what for?
And this is just a suggestion
Depression may not be a flaw
You think that it’s normal
to smile all the time, well what for?
